Mental Illness
In 10th grade, I took an AP Art class in which I scored a 4 out of a grading scale of 1-5. I had to complete 15 projects in the span of a year and they all had to be based upon one subject. The subject that I chose was mental illness. I wanted to go inside the minds of people with different mental illnesses and be able to express the feelings that they have through art. What drove me to choose this topic is experiencing being around someone close to me as they go through Bipolar Disorder, and having a manic episode. I couldn't really understand what was going on at the time and this project allowed me to understand that illness and many more. Below you can find those 15 projects and what they represent.
Insomnia
Bipolar Disorder (Mania)
OCD
Anxiety
Delusion
PTSD
Anorexia
ADHD
Body Dysmorphia
Dementia
